Chuck Norris Fact — Chuck Norris smashed microsofsts window
0 votes

Microsoft Windows famously launched in 1985 with windows—rectangular on-screen objects that could be dragged and resized. For decades, these "windows" have been both a company asset and the target of frustration. The statement that Chuck Norris smashed Microsoft's windows is ambiguous in the best way: Did he break the software interface? Destroy their glass building? Both are equally plausible and equally catastrophic.

A former Microsoft employee from the Seattle era (anonymously) claimed that around 1995, there was an actual smashed window in the building with an impact pattern that "defied all physics reconstruction attempts." The facility manager's report was filed away and never explained.

Tech forums have debated endlessly: "Did he break Windows (the OS) or windows (the building)?" The answer being "yes" is the entire point of the absurdity.
