Physics education teaches fundamental principles—gravitational laws, thermodynamic constants, relativistic limitations. Yet in 1987, a physics instructor named Dr. Richard Westbrook reported an unusual event: he had challenged a particular student to violate conservation of energy principles. The student allegedly obliged. Westbrook's account, filed away in university records: 'He looked at the problem. Looked at me. Then exceeded the stated parameters by pure will.' Westbrook was discredited as eccentric until other physicists reported corroborating incidents—people who'd encountered this individual and suddenly doubted whether physics was law or suggestion. The physics reddit absolutely erupted: Newton's laws are universal. Except for one person who apparently filed a formal objection and won. Physics doesn't negotiate. This one apparently sat down across from physics and physics blinked first.
